FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Model Portfolio is a collection of investment assets designed for a specific strategy. Investors can mimic the portfolio in their own trading account to get the desired results.

Our core focus and specialization is creating a flexi cap equity portfolio for investors. We do all the back end research, portfolio construction and rebalancing. All you have to do is to execute the trade from your a/c. This gives you full control over your money.

What is a model portfolio?

We select stocks mainly from NIFTY 500 universe. Some stocks might come from outside this index if they meet our rigorous investment criteria.

Are clients informed about buy and sell prices?

Yes, Absolutely. Clients are fully informed about both the prices.

What kind of stocks are advised in the model portfolio?
How do you determine which stock to buy and which to sell?

We go through a detailed research process before recommending any stock. Our approach involves asking a comprehensive checklist of questions about a company. After careful analyses of the above, we come to a decision.

Please go through the “Investment Checklist” and “Philosophy” Page to know more about our investment approach.

How many stocks will be there in the model Portfolio at any point of time?

Generally, we aim to include between 15 and 30 stocks, as we believe this provides a suitable level of diversification.

Will you provide percentage allocation to each stock?

We customize the portfolio by assigning specific percentage allocations to each stock. It will vary with the level of our conviction and internal rating of a stock. High conviction stocks will have 6-10% allocation while the medium ones will hold 2-5%.

How frequent would be the changes to model portfolio?

As we all know that we are living in a volatile and fast paced world, the need to monitor and rebalance (to sell from the current holdings or buy a new stock) is paramount.

Depending on the circumstances, there can be a need to rebalance the portfolio either few times in a month or there can be times when we won’t touch it for few months at a stretch.

Are there any circumstances in which the model portfolio would not be fully allocated and remain partially invested?

Yes, there might be times when there are fewer opportunities to invest. In that case, we prefer to park some money in cash (Liquid BeES) and wait patiently for a better opportunity.

How would you communicate the model portfolio and further rebalancing?

All updates are notified to clients in real-time on the registered email address.

Further, important alerts like buy/exit are also notified on SMS/Whatsapp.

What is the benchmark index of the model portfolio?

NIFTY 500 will be the benchmark index as stocks in the model portfolio will be mainly from this index
